    Default sewers roll call

aka those that sew not pipes that carry raw sewage.

    I can't really say I'm a sewer. I've barely done a thing. I'd consider myself a pre-beginner. lol I'll get there.

I know there are a lot of members that sew, so thought I'd do a roll call. Tell us what you enjoy sewing and tell us or show us your latest project(s).

I sew clothes , toys, decorative junk, house furnishings type stuff - chair covers pillows, curtains, shower curtains. I am working on ornamaents, clothes for the boys, fleece jackets, Aimee's christmas dress and appliance covers for my kitchen.

Me. I'm really enjoying it now that I've got a sewing buddy and have made some things. I just made an apron for my mother's bday...need to get pics uploaded. I'm definitely still a beginner, but I've made peasant tops, knit pants, aprons...I really feel peaceful when I sew, and when I see my dd's faces light up after I've made something for them, that makes it even more worth it!

    I sew a little too!

I think I have made just about everything except a bridal gown and working with all that lace does not appeal to me at all! LOL

I just finished this about an hour ago.

I would be a pre-beginner as well. I have only made a chair cusion set (not well) and an apron. (with help) Plus I have pieced a couple of quilt blocks, but not sure that counts here

I get in a sewing mood once in a while. I've made skirts, dresses, shorts, curtains, cushions, and dress-up play dresses for dd when she was younger.

    I've got a snake..oh sorry, wrong sewers.

I made an apron for the apron exchange...Hey Lucie, is it still in one piece? So ya, I am a newbie to the art of sewing. I still have a hard time understanding directions...they just don't make it clear enough for me...I must be special.
I am going to dig the machine out again soon & finish another apron I started and maybe branch out to placemats or something.
I really do admire you ladies who just seem to breeze effortlessly through the art of sewing. You are awesome.

Sewed alot in High school, had stuff entered in the State Fair and all, but I just bought my own sewing machine last year, and I have not used it really.. I get so overwhelmed once I get to the fabric department, I don't get any material for the "project in my head" ideas... Oh well maybe it will come to me.

I sew too! I like making clothing and lately I have really began to enjoy my embroidery machine. I feel the same way about all that lace Dee. I like to make anything baby. I just like working with the fabrics. I have made most everything besides that wedding dress.
