How did you hear about frugal village?
I bookmarked it a few weeks ago when it was mentioned on a financial blog I read, but I don't remember which one now.

    What interests you here?
I want to live a simpler life and be happy with what I have and what I can create myself. I tend to do better at living that way when I surround myself with like-minded people rather than people who constantly strive to acquire more and more stuff.

    What will you contribute?
I have a genuine interest in helping others, so I hope that I will be able to give honest and tactful advice. I will share, whenever relevant, ways that I have incorporated frugality into my own life.

Do you know any other members here?
    Not that I know of.

    How many kids?
None, and none planned for the future, either.

    Tell us about yourself.
I work full-time as a paraprofessional in an academic library. Provided I am accepted into the program, I will be starting graduate school this fall. I would like to become a school library media specialist for middle school children. I do not want to have kids of my own, but I dote on my 1-year-old niece. My boyfriend and I have been together for nearly 8 years. We own a house together.

    Do you own any pets?
Not right now, but I think that aquarium fish and a kitty cat are in my near future.

    Occupation?
    library cataloger

    Married or single?
    long-term, committed, live-in relationship

    Interests and hobbies?
doing research, writing poetry, reading fiction and poetry, traveling, daydreaming, listening to music, making crafts, cooking, self-improvement

    Talking New here

Hello, my name is Lili, you can call me Lalapops, no prob at all. It will be great to meet you all!!!

How did you hear about frugal village? Googling

What interests you here? I'm a stay-at-home mom, wofe and we are trying to save up as much money as we can thi syear to use as a down payment for our new home. I'm challenging myself in my spending habits to help contribute.

What will you contribute? I'm not sure yet. Just got here, I'm always looking for ways to help out, it sometimes gets me in "trouble" because I hate to say "no." hehehe

Do you know any other members here? No

How many kids? Ages? I have three kiddos, the oldest is a boy and he is 12, then my girls are 8 and 4

Tell us about yourself. My hubby and I have been married for 12 years (will be 13 next month.) I married my high school sweatheart, we have three kids whom are a real blessing since I was told I will never be able to have children. I love to take photos of anything that is "interesting" to me at the time. (I rather take random shots of my kids being themselves than have their pictures taken professionally and my walls show it) I love the beach. I am totally involved in my church family.

Do you own any pets? We have a chihuahua doggy

    Occupation? Stay at home

    Married or single? Married

Interests and hobbies? Photography, MUSIC, beaches, purses, making blankies

That is a bit about me. I have read alot of the posts yesterday and I have already gotten some great ideas, I'm looking forward to getting involved in the challenges. I'm not sure how I can help anyone yet, but if anyone has any ideas, please throw them my way.

Also-- I do have a question, what does OAMC stand for? I'm sure it's something simple and I'll be "like, Duh!" when I get the reply, but right now I'm clueless. hehehe

    Have a good day!
