How did you hear about frugal village?
I bookmarked it a few weeks ago when it was mentioned on a financial blog I read, but I don't remember which one now.
What interests you here?
I want to live a simpler life and be happy with what I have and what I can create myself. I tend to do better at living that way when I surround myself with like-minded people rather than people who constantly strive to acquire more and more stuff.
What will you contribute?
I have a genuine interest in helping others, so I hope that I will be able to give honest and tactful advice. I will share, whenever relevant, ways that I have incorporated frugality into my own life.
Do you know any other members here?
Not that I know of.
How many kids?
None, and none planned for the future, either.
Tell us about yourself.
I work full-time as a paraprofessional in an academic library. Provided I am accepted into the program, I will be starting graduate school this fall. I would like to become a school library media specialist for middle school children. I do not want to have kids of my own, but I dote on my 1-year-old niece. My boyfriend and I have been together for nearly 8 years. We own a house together.
Do you own any pets?
Not right now, but I think that aquarium fish and a kitty cat are in my near future.
Occupation?
library cataloger
Married or single?
long-term, committed, live-in relationship
Interests and hobbies?
doing research, writing poetry, reading fiction and poetry, traveling, daydreaming, listening to music, making crafts, cooking, self-improvement

Also-- I do have a question, what does OAMC stand for? I'm sure it's something simple and I'll be "like, Duh!" when I get the reply, but right now I'm clueless. hehehe
