I'm new here
How did you hear about frugal village?
I found itwhen looking for a good site about gardening (homesteadgarden.com) and it interested me enough to join.
What interests you here?
I want to learn how to be more self-reliant, learn how to cook healthy, inexpensive food for my family, talk with others who value frugality and making stuff themselves.
Do you know any other members here?
Nope, not yet.
How many kids? Ages?
1 child, she'll be three in January.
Tell us about yourself.
Currently working, single parent (was divorced in 2003). Just got my degree from Brigham Young University in psychology (graduated 2004, august). I work at a residential treatment facility for women with eating disorders, and the only thing I love more than my job is being with my daughter.
Do you own any pets?
Yes, three rabbits. Rudy (mini rex), Chloe (mini lop) and Honey (netherland dwarf.)
SAHM or Working mom?
Working... I work 3 12-hour shifts a week, and so I get four whole days with my daugher despite the fact that I work full time, so our family is really blessed.
Married or single? See above
Interests and hobbies? In no particular order, I love reading good books, playing with my daughter, writing, gardening, cooking, keeping my house clean and organized, being with people,
doing psychology research, singing, playing guitar and listening to music, cross country and downhill skiing, hiking, backpacking, camping and other outdoor activities.
Anyway, I look forward to getting to know all the rest of you.

Hi sarah, welcome to the village. You sound like an interesting lady, I look forward to knowing you better.
I moderate the lawn and garden thread and plan on doing a series of articles in the new year about vegetable gardening and producing food in the backyard, don't forget to go there to look around. Homesteadgarden is en excellent site too full of resources.
Merry Christmas to you and your dd.

Welcome, Sarah! It is wonderful that you can work a schedule that allows you four days a week off to spend with your daughter.
