    Default Your Self-rewards and Motivators??

I was wondering what kind of little rewards and "carrots" you all use to keep yourself motivated or on task?? I am kind of fresh out of ideas. I used to do some work and then run in and hit REFRESH on the active posts here at the Village - but now its just part of my regular program - I come in here about 5 bazillion times a day and REFRESH. Since I am dieting and not drinking I can't use a cold beer or a peanut butter cup as a reward. I don't have any money to spend so I can't buy myself something....

What are some other ideas that work for you guys??

Computer time is always my motivator.

Quiet time to read a good book is another favorite. The dialog inside my head goes something like this... "just fold the laundry and finish the dishes and then you can curl up in bed and read without feeling guilty".

What about a home facial or manicure? No $$ needed, but still some pampering for yourself.

    Great question Kimmee.

I allow myself some time to go for a 15 minute walk.

    Take a long bubble bath.

Take some time to read a good book.

Take a few minutes to quilt.

I also give myself a day a month that is just for me. Dh takes care of the kids and I go into the city by myself. All it usually costs is a lunch for me and then I walk the stores just looking and enjoying my time by myself. I also head to the antique stores, something I can't do when the kids are with me.

    Good luck in your quest.

    *extra time on the computer
*a small "treat" when I go shopping, new nail polish, lip gloss, etc.

    My treats are:

    *A long bath.
    * A good book from the library that I've always wanted to read.
*Take the time to paint my toenails.
    * I take a wonderful nap, even if it's for just 20 minutes.
*I sew something just for ME.
