What are you doing today?
It's snowing/sleeting here right now, so I had to cancel an appointment that I had for this afternoon. I didn't feel like driving 40 minutes (in good weather), who knows how long it would've taken me to get there and back home in this yucky weather.
So, on my agenda for today is:
*read a couple of magazines
*exercise
*work on shelter paperwork
*read up on bonsai plants (I don't think mine is doing to well!)
*spend a few minutes on the never ending no sew blanket!
*go thru my inbox and get rid of what I don't need!
I have all my "chores" done so I'm free to play today
How about you?

Hi Gina! Today we got up at 8:00 and I have been cleaning and doing laundry. I am pretty much done cleaning so I will then be finishing up my Niece's outfits to mail out by Monday!! I have already done some reading too, so it's been a great day so far!

This afternoon I'll be baking and reading. Have a good day all.

After sleeping in, I did some cleaning in the kitchen as well. The better part of my morning was spent dealing with paperwork and I have more to tackle this afternoon. DH worked and we just finished lunch a bit ago. He is snoozing on the couch, so I thought I would take advantage of the quiet to do some stuff online.

I am doing good to be upright today. Not ill, just moring sickness...or in my case all day sickness.
Anyhow since it is wicked windy here today, I have been exersizing (chasing our trash barrels down the alley). Have cleaned the carpet (it is also muddy outside, so i brought some in after chasing the barrels), made lunch for us, got a load of laundry folded, one in the dryer, one in the washer and a mountain to still do. I was reading and replying to a thread about what needlecraft projects we are working on, and i remembered a UFO sweater i want to finish (mocking me from the knitting machine). Ended up getting distracted and cleaned off my sewing table instead.
So far that's it. I might call my brother after we eat. then after that I just might get my butt in gear and work on that sweater...then again...~~ Missy ~~

dks had their first swimming lesson today. there are only 3 kids in the group. greg, sarah, and another little girl. they enjoyed it. then we came home and i did dishes, and cleaned up a little in the kitchen. made lunch ( english muffin pizzas for ds and me, dd had hot dogs, not sure what dh had) then we went iceskating. dh bought new iceskates with his christmas money and mil bought dks new skates. i still have my old hockey skates. so we went skating for 2 hours. the kids had fun. after going around for teh first hour with me, ds decided to go by himself and was skating away from the wall pretty good for being only his second time skating. last time he was around 3. dd did well too. she could go by herslef but would rather hold daddy's hand. and when there were too many people around daddy would hold her under her arms and stear her through. she thought thta was fun. a lady i work with came up to the icerink with her daughter, granddaughter and another little girl. we helped them with skating too. only the daughter had been skating before and it was the little girls first time so in between helping my kids, i helped them. we had a good time.
right now dh is watching tv, dks are upstaris playing. in a little while i will tackle teh laundry. and some other cleaning.
we might go play poker at the inlaws house but i'm not sure.wife to carl

We went to look at tile today for our hall bath remodel. That took quite a bit of time and I am still
at the price!
On the way home we dropped off all the National Geographic magazines I decluttered this week at a thrift store.
Once home I moved a bunch of stuff out of the hall bath, ate a quick snack and went off for some 'alone' time while dh continued busting out the bathroom.
I took a nice drive along the river and I went to a library branch south of us and hit their free magazine bin (I know, I know - I just decluttered magazines!). I'll go through them and then pass them along to a friend. I browsed a bit and checked out some items that my regular branch doesn't have. I took the long way home and drove through lots of undeveloped land and orange groves. Nice and peaceful.
I stopped by a grocery store to take advantage of a sale on the way home, unloaded everything from the car, and came for some FV play time.
Dh wants Chinese takeout for dinner so no cooking for me today. I need to put away all the groceries (canned goods), work in my frugal notebook a bit, and we'll be watching Secondhand Lions (love that movie) tonight.

Uhmmmm. . . went to work, coded a patient (he didn't make it), saved a patient, changed dressings, hung IV"s , started IV's, dealth with angry family members, angry doctors, angry nurses (I was charge nurse today), tried to fix understaffing  , mopped up emesis on floor from visitor who wasn't expecting friend to have tubes coming from every place possible, emptied bedpans, checked ventilators alarms and calmed nervous family member who thought patient was dying when said alarm went off (they were only coughing). . . . . did this repeatedly for 12 hours. . . . .
Sorry, but you DID ask. . . right?

I had a great day. I lounged around in the morning. I took Zachary to the barber for a haircut. I went to the new Goodwill and then to SA. Then we all hit Walmart for some papertowels etc. and then hit the carwash.
I had a blast cranking the stereo in the truck all alone and singing at the top of my lungs. The high notes to the old Journey song "Don't Stop Believing" are just fun. lol
It was just an overall great feeling day. Happy kids...happy husband and happy me. Life is good.
Too many great things to even say what my favorite part was. Zachary made me laugh until my face hurt.
I came home to a completely trashed house, but the kids were having a blast and Gabe had that look like he was VERY happy I was finally home. roflmao

Was up at 5:30 this morning. Grabbed a cup of coffee and got online for a bit while Mickie and Ethan slept peacefully. Looked for and found a salad recipe for a dinner tomarrow night at church to welcome our new Pastor and his family. I posted a bit here at FV and then hubby came home and the kiddies woke up soon afterwards. Made breakfast while hubby showered, ate and then cleaned up kitchen. Hubby went to bed and kiddies started watching cartoons. I got back online and did more posting here at FV. Called daughter to tell her that I would just keep Ethan until Wednesday. Started working on some paperwork here in the office when Ethan came in with a runny nose and also some on his hands. YUCK! Took him into the bathroom and sat on the toilet to clean him up and when I got up I must have twisted my knee somehow and down I went. Bruised my hip and back on side of tub and knee is painful and swollen. So, I have been useless for the rest of the day and probably for the next few days as well.

I love reading what everyone got accomplished or not as well, it at times makes me feel like a slacker and motivates me to do more.
Got up went to work, worked all day, went to have a drink with some friends to celebrate one's birthday, stayed an hour chatting, laughing, general I'm free of responsibility for the moment kinda fun. Stopped by Mom's to pick up Brett, he had a friend from down the road over there spending the night and since I have to work again tomorrow the boys thought it better to just stay the night there. Came home washed up straggling dishes left about the house, at a bagel, did my nails (since I won't spend the 35.00 to have them done, but like to keep them done) picked up my mess from nail job. Flipped through Home interior catalog from and invite to a HI party *makes me weak to look, I hope I can hold out and not buy a lot but only maybe a candle or something small *Prays for strength. What was left of the night was spent louging in a nice, clean, peaceful house what a feeling.
Hope everyone's day was great
