    I think these are the areas you were interested in - I still think for homesteading you might be more impressed with Buena Vista , Victor, Cripple Creek, Fossil - areas that are less developed and not so popular with the ski fads and folks.

    Cripple Creek might not be as good, there is a pretty steady stream of gambling and such in and out of the town and area.

    but their schools are decent - it is where i was looking when I left Bob and couldn't afford Winter Park - However that was 5 1/2 years ago - so I am not positive about now
