Exclamation Awk! I Got Locked OUt

    of my HOUSE!

I didn't panic which was new for me. Front screen door was locked and I considered unscrewing the sides of it but then I checked ds's bedroom window and it wasn't locked. I know he has broke in that way before.

The patio door was locked (no way to get in that way beside breaking the glass door)

The inside garage door was locked and I don't have a key to that lock so I need to find one. I just always use the deadbolt for that door but somehow the handle lock got turned.

So anyway I used a screw driver to pry the screen off and then stood on a car jack outside and climbed in the window, lol.

Now I need a new game plan incase I get locked out again because I locked that window now.

I'm glad you were able to get in........

At least you didn't cause any damage and then have to explain why you locked yourself out to your husband who is fixing the mess you made to get in............

I will never take a tire iron and pry the back door open again...........

maybe hiding a key somewhere might help. my spare is in the swamp cooler, now that i think about it, it is probably rusted away by now, rofl.

I swear there's nothing more frustrating than being locked out of your own house!! This happened to dh and I a few weeks ago and we have a spare hidden outside.

Yep, same here. I thought hubby had his door key with him and vice versa. Had to drive over to BIL's to borrow the key we gave him last year when we were on vacation. The next day, hubby had extra key made and now we have a spare hidden outside.

So was there any swearing & laughter as you broke in? I would have been swearing as I'm putting something up to the window to climb on and then laughing at how I must have looked shimmying through the window. Yep, I would have been laying on the floor in hysterics.
Glad you got in and hope you find a good hiding spot for a key so you don't have to jump through hoops... or windows to get in again.

I'm so glad you got in! I have a spare key hidden outside so that we and the kid that takes care of our home can get in if needed.

I don't know what's worse though, getting locked out of the house or vehicle. Believe me, I have done both. The local locksmiths just love me. LOL
