    Default Hello! I'm new here.

    I heard about this site from another home-type magazine message board. This is an awsome site.

    I am interested in saving money and keeping my house running better.

    I am familar with some of the other members from frugal moms board. I have missed all of you! Glad I have found you.
    I was Mama Keith then. Do any of you remember me?

    I have one son. He is seven years old.

    I moved from my hometown 5 yrs ago to northwest Louisiana. I became a sahm when we moved for dh work. Before then I was a bookkeeper. I still don't know very many people here. I took care of my mom until she died last Oct. with copd from smoking.

    We have lots of pets. Three dogs--westies, 11 hens, 12 koi fish in the garden pond and aquarium and ds various pets in the terrarium.

    I am married to my high school sweetheart for 23 years.

    My hobbies/interest include: homemaking, reading, sewing, quilting, gardening vegs and roses, and I am learning to knit. I am working on the blue/white quilt on the cover of McCall's quilting magazine Feb. 2005. I've got seven blocks finished.

    Welcome Katie --I was part of frugalmom's too -but didn't post much. I'm sorry your mom died and you had to watch her suffer. I too took care of my mom her last 2 years of battling tongue cancer. I know how hard that can be.

    You'll love it here. Everyone is soooo nice and helpful.
