Ever get TIRED of the ugliness???

Why does it seem that some people only live to be mean and hateful to others?? I work in a different dept and I'm merely a spectator really but some of the nastiness just really cuts into me. And its not even directed at ME!!

My boss had to give me a review even though I'd only been there 2 months. She told me that I'm very easy to get along with, laid back and smart!! *feel good!!
I told her with so many difficult and ugly people in the world, why strive to be one?? Thats no accomplishment after all.

Anyone else feel this way??

I agree, I put up with family members who are like that & I finally got so fed up with it that after my mom died I stopped talking to them & I don't regret it one bit.
As the saying goes "if you can't say anything nice don't say anything at ALL!"

I have to deal with those kinds of people quite a bit (including some family members) and it just wears on me.

Those mean ugly people are ones who really do not like themselves and have alot of soul searching to do.

But knowing this, does not make it any easier to be around them. I just say a silent prayer for them.

CB, you are so right!

My father was one of the ugliest. While he was alive I had nothing to do with him once given the choice, but now I realize a LOT of his meanness was because he just didn't like himself and he was doing the best HE could do. It still fell short, but he did the best he could do.

Makes you kinda sad for those mean people, knowing they'll never know half the joy that a happy person will know.

One of the many reasons I gave up work was because of this, I saw no point in surrounding myself with people who just brought me down.

All my life I looked forward to being an adult so I could make choices to do what made me happy, my choice now is to surround myself with people and things that make me and Dh happy.
