ok ladies with the country music hotties for an avatar, guess where i was last night

i was a the george strait concert in richmond. a newcomer amber dotson and cutie derks bentley were the opening acts.
it was a good show. the stage was round so they would sing a couple songs on one side, then a couple on the next, and just go round and round. i had never heard of amber dotson before, but she was pretty good. some of her songs are funny. slightly warped sense of humor, but i like that.
derks did the 3 songs of his that i have heard, plus some others. i think dh has his cd, but i'm not sure. might have to listen to it some more. he sounds really good in concert.
and of course george strait was great. he played some of his older songs that i had forgotten were even his songs. the only song i would have liked him to play that he didn't was the love song at the end of pure country. dh was hoping for all my ex's live in texas, but he didn't play that one either. now how warped is that, i want a love song and dh wants all my ex's live in texas. lol and they came back and did 5 or 6 more songs for an encore.
if they are doing a concert near you and you like counrty, it's a good show to go to if you can.

this was our christmas present from mil.
probably the only good christmas present i ever got from her.

I am jealous!! I love George!!! He is having a concert around here, but tickets are already sold out............AND I DIDN"T GET ANY!!

I love George Strait. I have seen him too and he puts on a great show and he is so handsome. I am glad y'all had a good time.

King George puts on a heckuva show doesn't he? We've seen him in concert about 8 times. Once in the early years we were in the 3rd row and the auditorium was about 1/20th sold out. It was great. The best ever seats we've had were behind the stage.......He does wear a mean pair or Wranglers

yep really had a good time. of course now i have cowboys like us stuck in my head, but there are much worse songs to have stuck in your head.

derks played that song kimmee. it was one of the ones he played on our side of the stage.

He was in TN on Fri. and if I could have won tickets I would have gone in a heartbeat. He is one of the first country music people I remember hearing when I was little. I loved the song "Baby Blue" & to this day it's one of my GS favorites

Sounds like you had a great time! I have heard that George does a wonderful concert. The only concert I have been to was Dwight Yoakam. It was a good concert, but it was outdoors and it was COLD! Cold enough for me to drink half a cup of coffee and I DO NOT like or drink coffee.

I never saw George in concert but I used to go to alot of country concerts. I didn't go to even one this last year. All the more reason to catch up this year

Glad you had a good time, but I can't imagine HOW George could show you a bad time

and yep mil finally did good on a christmas gift. first time in 11 years, though only 9 of those are as my mil.
