Do you hate playdates, too?

I hate playdates. I make no apologies. I do it ONLY for my boys.

- someone is always whining
- bodily function jokes/noises and frequent references to "nuts"
- "Only 2 treats per dog or they throw up". Oops. Too late.
- "No sword fighting in the house!!!"
- "I don't like this."
- "Why do you only have one TV? Are you Poor?"
- parents who ditch their kds without a contact phone number

I like kids, but I also like my quiet house, no one bugging/freaking over my dogs.

They've all gone home, now....time for a hot bath and a trashy novel...maybe a cup of tea?

I can sooo relate! I am now in a neighborhood where ds can run down the street to different friends house (and they can come over) without have a designated drop off/pick up time. I can send them out to ride bikes, play tag etc... and they go back and forth between homes. Its easier on all moms involved. Ds usually ends up with a lecture after a "play date" leaves, "You had better not act like that at his house!"
