    Thumbs down Insomnia..........

I have not been able to sleep for about two weeks now.....and it is really getting old. Saturday night I couldn't fall asleep and was up until after 5:30 am, and had to get up at 7:30 to get ready for church....I'm averaging about 3 hours a night/day of sleep. I look at Matthew laying there in bed, sound asleep, and wish I could be there snuggled up asleep beside him!!!!!

I'm gonna go try some hot tea, and see if that won't make me sleepy, well, I already am sleepy, so I guess I should say, make me fall asleep!!!!!!!!

Roxy try warm milk, that always helps me...if you don't like the taste of plain warm milk have a cup of hot chocolate made with real milk. Hope you are able to get some sleep soon!!

Maybe a brisk half hour walk everyday? I know I sleep better on the days I've had my walk on the treadmill.

I'm another one who doesn't sleep too much at night. I've been trying different teas at night to calm me plus a product called Natural Calm.

Good luck Roxy and everyone on the sleep!

i usually sit on the sofa with the dog and watch tv if i can't sleep. i think that the act of petting him is what calms me down enough to sleep. got any critters you could pet? maybe a stuffed animal that feels like a real critter would work?
i have reduced my intake of caffiene to days that i get migraines and even then i try not to have any other than what is in an excedrine after 5 pm. that has helped some, but i still have bouts of insomnia and restless sleep. i have read that having a bedtime routine is supposed to help. brushing your teeth, washing y our face, etc, the same way every night is supposed to clue in your body to the fact that it's bedtime. just like it helps babies understand that it's bedtime, a routine is supposed to be good for us old folks too. i can never stick to one because of my cruddy work schedule, but thought it would be an idea for you.

Reading and hot tea always works for me when I have those sleepless nights. Sometimes I think we get our days and nights mixed up like tiny babies do. I know Arlie has a really hard time falling to sleep on nights he is off since he is used to working night shift.

Praying you find some relief soon sweetie.

I usually get up and read my bible when I can't sleep. It helps to calm my spirit and I find I can usually get to sleep better then. If I'm having a really restless night I'll turn on the tv in the living room and watch an old black and white movie then fall asleep on the couch.

    Roxy,

After reading your post in the pet forum about having to find homes for your precious kitties, it's no wonder you can't sleep sweetie. You just have so much on you right now with the move and then this too.

Praying your friend you mentioned in the pet post can take in your little ones until you can work something out for them.

    (((Hugs)))
