Does Anyone Else Here Shred?
I got so tired of all the credit card offers we were getting in the mail daily (sometimes as many as 6), that I went out a few months ago and bought a shredder. I was opening each one of them and keeping the envelopes for notes and grocery lists, and then putting the contents in a small box here in the office to burn. Having the shredder makes it so much easier to dispose of the junk and not have that ugly box sitting here on the floor taking up space, and I'm not polluting the air with unnecessary smoke. I put the shredded paper in the compost. I feel safer too knowing that our personal info is not floating around out there in a dump somewhere, for anyone to see.

I take the credit card offers, rip them up and send them back in the prepaid envelopes.

I've had a shredder for yonks. I use the shredded paper for hen's nests, in the compost heap and if I have no straw for mulch I use it as mulch as well.

I have had a shredder for years. It seems lately that we keep getting more and more junk mail though. Sometimes, I will sit here at my desk and shred while I catch up at the village. Good way to multitask.

I have a shredder and I use it to shred anything with personal info on it. I love mine!

I sure do. One morning before we got the shredder, I went outside to put the trash down at the road for pickup and saw that someone had opened my trash bags the night before and rummaged through them.
That cured me!Hello from Sunny Central Florida

We always shred anything that has personal info on it...
As for the credit card offers there is a 800 number you can call and it makes it so that no one can see your credit report unless you say they can so you will be taken off the lists for offers. I will see if I can find the number for you... my dh used to get at least one a day.... I am not kidding....one a day!!
I called the number, and within a couple of weeks they stopped coming.... I will find it for you all......

Something else that really bugs me, is getting those complimentary "CHECKS" on your existing credit cards.
Think of what someone could do with those!Hello from Sunny Central Florida
