Angry Cigarette butts in my yard!

Our neighbor's grown son smokes and likes to flick his cigarette butts everywhere. Well today Josh found 8 of them in our yard! Thank goodness thing have been damp here because he'd been throwing them on a pile of leaves that we are using to insulate some of our plants. IDIOT!!!!! He is such a jerk! You can't talk to him about anything because he's an ex cop who beat his wives (yes he's had 4 of them) and he thinks he knows everything and is drinking heavily now that he lost his job as a cop for firing his weapon in town when he was drunk. Scary fellow!

    yikes, what a horrible neighbour!

Deb, cigarette butts take YEARS to decompose. I'd throw them back to his yard.

    Rhonda~
He does not live next door to us, his parents do and he comes to visit quite often. I love his parents but can't stand him. Sorry, I didn't make that clear in my original post. I clearly am in need of a nap!

People need to be more careful. 2 times I have found seringes in my yard {not here} The first time my oldest daughter was 3 yrs old & found a seringe full of who know what in out front yard. We moved shortly after that. The second time I was leaving & found a seringe in the yard. I was affraid that it would continue since we lived next door to a bar but fortunately it never happened again.

My neighbor does the same thing as she is strolling over she casually tosses the butt onto the driveway or yard...She doesn't realize that I can see her do it..... And she is a mom of two who doesn't like cr@@ like that at her house.. GO figure... This year if she presists I am going to make my thoughts clear.

If you don't want to flick them back, how about presenting your neighbors with a bucket of sand for their dear thoughtful son to put his butts in?

Have you told your neighbors that this is going on?

Oh, I hate butts in my yard! If I were to claim a pet peeve that would be it. lol. Dh and I don't smoke and my brother does and he makes sure to throw butts all over my yard even though I have asked him not to. Then dh gets mad every time he mows the yard.

What a putz that man is . Maybe the Caped Crusader needs to pay him a visit and we can have a lesson on littering, it sounds like he might have missed that one in school, along with the play nice with others.

I would put on a glove and flick them back in their yard. I've done it before. Shortly after they stopped. With the way he is, he probably won't, but maybe once the parents see their yard filling up with cigarette butts, they will say something to him without you prompting them.

His dad did put a bucket of sand for him to put his butts in but this guy really, really likes to try to "show people who's boss" and he still flicks them in my yard. I think PUTZ describes him quite well by the way!

I think I would talk to his parents about the butts. I'm sure they have already told him not to throw them in their yard, and they are probably clueless to the fact that he is flicking them over into yours.

Sounds like this guy has a huge chip on his shoulder and needs an attitude adjustment!
