ever changed something about your "look"
Have you ever changed something about your "look" and then had to live with it for a while?
Yesterday I worked at our store. When I work there I always wear makeup and blow dry my hair with a little gel in it. Well, yesterday I didn't use gel, I used styling wax. I don't like the feel of gel in my hair and a friend told me wax didn't feel sticky. Well no, it doesn't feel sticky but it looks disgusting.
To go with my new hair, I decided to wear different makeup.
Instead of my usual brown or grey eyeshadow (green eyes) I didn't use any eyeshadow, just mascara.
Yesterday was coolish in the morning but the afternoon was hot and humid. I was sweaty and my hair looked wet all day!
I also looked like I'd just stepped out of the shower because it looked like I didn't have any makeup on.
Why did I go out looking like this? Was I
or temporarily insane? Funny thing was though that when I checked myself out in the mirror before I left for work, I thought the new look was ok!
Have you ever done anything like this and had to live with it all day, or even longer? Please say yes and ease my pain.

I sure have Rhonda. It seems that I always experiment when it really "counts". Like if we're going out with friends or something for the evening. I end up feeling like a freak or something. I have been careful not to do that lately
You're so not alone on this......

It seems any time that I venture out looking a little different is when I bump into someone we know.
I'm happy that I'm a natural type and don't wear much makeup, but I still look washed out if I don't wear any. I've also had more than my share of dress down days and bad hair days and yep...always seen by someone. ugh
Why oh why I wear those sweatpants that are two inches too short is beyond me or worse add some funky colored socks with them. lol
My hair is thick and wavy and always uncontrollable too.If you'd like to help support Frugal Living by Sara Noel, my syndicated column, e-mail, write, or call the managing editor at your local newspaper and ask them to publish it in print or online. Does laughing hysterically in the kitchen while my best friend and I highlight each other's hair count? Only to hear my friend say, "Wow. That's really red." And to see the look on my DH's face when he asked if we'd been drinking...no, we don't drink!
Been there. Done that. Roots grew out. It wasn't a pretty sight for much longer than one day.

I been there & done that myself
I also know someone who had thin dark hair & she decided to dye & perm her hair & one day I seen her walking down the street & couldn't believe my eyes
her hair went from thin straight dark hair to bright ORANGE & PUUUFFY
needless to say she never did anythig with her hair again.

Yes, once when I use to color my hair actually highlighted, I thought, Hummm, I can save my self $100.00 and do this myself WRONG!!!!! I have very dark hair and it has natural red highlights (I was going for the blonde ones). SO I try and my have turns ORANGE!!! I had to ball my hair up and stuff it under a ball cap so I could go get some dark brown hair color!

Last spring, since I had lost 20 lbs, I decided to go from long (below my shoulders) hair to really, really short spiky hair...the day before my high school reunion.
Lesson learned.

last time i dyed my hair was oh...10 years or more ago. I went for a different shade of blonde...and wound up looking like i had a lemon on my head. it was yellow, yellow...like from a crayone box, and no variations at all in it. it was horrible. haven't done anything to it since.

Well, lets see, the home perm that turned me into a french poodle, the salon highlighting that turned my hair gray (I was 21 at the time and my hubby and I decided it was previews of coming attractions for now!
), some horrid haircuts and now could I ever have thought the sparkly blue eyeshadow was attractive?????

LOL, Oh you mean like the time I dyed my hair myself and it turned green.
I gave up on trying to self beautify myself after that.
