Does your "giving" ever get you into to trouble...

My Mom came and spent a week with us when we were moving and helped pack and move things, we would have never been able to get it done without her help.  She was a Godsend to us.  I am so grateful to her that while she was here, everytime she picked up something and said that she liked it...I gave it to her.  I am now suffering the consequences of all that free giving, LOL.  I started looking for my tennis shoes to wear with sweats today and could not find them, then I remembered I gave them to my Mom, not just one pair but all 3 pairs, I told her "oh, take them, I never wear them anyway" .  I also have her my lightweight coat and said the same thing "take it, I never wear it", and my wristwatch and most of my candles and lots of other things that I really did use and need.   I get such a great feeling from giving that I don't think about the fact that I might actually need it someday.  Sigh, oh well, it all went to a good home, LOL.

Do you ever get so into giving that you do this?

yeah...i have. I got rid of EVERYTHING baby related. Gave it to Freecycle people...then found out we are expecting. We had nothing left at all. With the exception of the crib, stroller and carseat. Now we have to start all over from scratch. Not easy. I felt like big time.
