Default I got the nicest thank you note

Background: The mom of another scout in DD's troop had to have gall bladder surgery. DH suggested we take over a dinner or two.

Of course, being frugal, I had stockpiled b/s chick breasts when they were on sale. In fact, I had made double batches of dinner a few nights.

So, I had DH take over frozen Italian chicken and chicken enchilladas the day before the surgery. It was no extra work for me; they were already cooked up and frozen in ziplocks.

Today, DH and DD came back from a scout meeting with the nicest thank you note.

About how we filled the void from them not having family in the area!

I'm sure the other mom appreciated it very much!
And isn't it nice to have everything on hand in order to meet a need?

What a blessing it must have been for her to know that someone cared so much for the needs of her family during her illness.

That was such a nice gesture on your part. And it's nice to hear that some people do still take the time to write thank-you notes.

Well ... it was DH's suggestion.

And, being frugal made it easy.

But so often, people don't bother to say thank you. It was great to get that note.
