Finished our taxes and filed for our refund!
Hubby and I took advantage of not having the kids around this morning to get our income taxes done this morning. We e-filed them for free using the free tax prep and filing program through the IRS website (we chose H&R Block since we went through them last year). Anyway, we are getting a hefty refund and it should be here in about 2 weeks!
Now we can put some away in savings, pay our property taxes for 2005, get some work done on our little car and get our 3 youngest female cats spayed!!!!

That's great. I'm still waiting on a few tax forms (including my W-2) before I can get ours filed.

Congrats on being so organized! And it sounds as if you have practical plans for your refund!

We filed ours yesterday. I'm so disappointed. I thought we would be getting a few hundred dollars of our money refunded, but alas, it wasn't meant to be.

Sounds like a good plan.
We received our state refund and should get our federal soon. Jimmy will be getting neutered too.
You seem to be as happy about your return as we are.

Great news Debbie.

Good for you Deb.
Tax weekend here too. Dh did ours & the kids did theirs. They didn't like filling out those forms one bit, welcome to the grown-up fun.
They did like getting back all the money confiscated from them since they didn't make much.
