Whats your cell phone plan??
Or what company are you happy with??
I've been fighting dh tooth and nail about NOT getting cell phones. they annoy me but since I INSIST in hanging onto Satan (my petname for my Wrangler) I'd rather have one than end up stranded in the middle of nowhere (for a 2nd time)
SO!
I'm thinking Team Mobile might be the best one for us but its all so confusing!

I switched to Virgin Mobil which is a prepaid service over a year ago and love it. We had montly service plans for about 9 years...and I just did not use it that much. I love not having a bill each month. I just need to "top up" every 90 days, with $20.00 Yes, my per minute is a higher, but I don't have a montly bill either, so it really is cheaper for me.
If you plan on getting a phone, but not using it alot...I think prepaid is a great option.

I have a prepaid, which minutes do cost more BUT if you plan to use for emergiencies or things of importance and not just calling someone to talk on the phone they are pretty cheap.
We have 2 cell phones (both prepaid) and I load them with $10 every 90 days so in the long run it is cheaper then the plans I have found that cost at least $40 for 2 phones per month.
If you plan on using the phone a lot I would find a regular one with a good plan BUT if you plan to have it just incase then find a prepaid whiich offers service in your area.
One note if you are going prepaid on on-line to all the different prepaids and see if they have servise in your area, I have heard of people buying then and not being able to get a local number so the minutes cost more (since you are always out of area)

We have Verizon. We are on the family share plan and it works well for us. We can call anyone who also has a Verizon plan and it is free. My whole family has verizon so we can all call each other without adding up extra minutes. I also like the fact that we have free nights and weekends! The nights don't start until 9pm, but that is ok. We pay $69 a month for our plan.

We have a plan through a local company. It costs us about $60/mo. for 1000 minutes, unlimited nites and weekends and free long distance in our extended roaming area. No nationwide free long distance though....

We have several cell phones but only because my DH works for a cell phone company. We have unlimieted minutes free long distance and all the perks and as long as he works for them it's all free.
I think each person has different needs and just researching the best plan for your fmaily is best.

This is prob to late...but we have Nextel. We had the prepaids and they were costing as much as nextel would.
We pay about $80/month for 2 phones...free nights and weekends...500 anytime mins per phone and free 2 way with any nextel phone.Sometimes I wish we didn't have them, others times,I'm glad we do.

We used to have our phones through Alltell, with free nights and weekends but found that it was cheaper and easier in the long run to go prepaid. So now we have Simple Freedom phones and I love them. We don't use them heavily so they are really cheap and convenient for us.

Currently we have US Cellular........however since we moved to TN we are alway's in roaming. When we first moved here we could go about 5 miles to the next county and be in our home area, thus out of roaming. Now the closest home area to us is 45 miles away once we cross the NC state line.
Our plan has 2 phone lines and we have 650 minutes before we get charged per extra minute so we haven't been to worried about living in TN and having NC phone numbers.
Our contract is up for renewal in Oct. so we will probably switch to an TN phone then. We've already been looking at other providers and what they offer for the price that is closest to what we pay now (they are about the same and a few are a little cheaper.)
We've been happy with US Cellular the whole time we've had it. I wish our county now was one of the ones where they have coverage in TN, then we wouldn't have to worry about it.

Everyone else in our family is still with US Cellular so it takes our minutes to call them, but I don't mind waiting until after 9 or on Saturday or Sunday to call when it's free
Besides most of our minutes on our old plan with US cellular were used with Joe and I talking to one another either while he was at work, out riding his bike or when I go home so. My line and phone was free but Joe added the $4.99 option for mobile web and after we get rid of our old plan we are going to add the option for 100 text messages a month instead of paying for them individually.
(a friend of joes has been known to text him 4 or 5 times on the nights he goes out not knowing that we have to pay for incoming and outgoing ones)

We have US Cellular. We have a share talk plan, with 1000 minutes, (DH is a phone addict), we each have a phone and we share the plan, nights and weekends free, nationwide long distance, and more bells and whistles than I really know about and we pay between $70 and $80 per month. We have been very happy with this company.
