i bet you like something disgusting
I LOVE junket. If you don't know what that is, it's a milk dessert similar to yoghurt. It was considered "invalid food" when I was growing up in the 50s and 60s and whenever my sister or I were ill, my mum would whip up a batch of junket and jello and we'd be in 7th heaven. My secret is that I still love it now. It reminds me of my mother and of being comforted and cared for when I was young.
I made a cherry
junket yesterday and offered some to dh and ds for dessert last night and they almost gagged. LOL, I knew they would.
GOOD, all the more for me.
They say that junket tastes like nothing and that it's wobbly and disgusting.
I bet you like something that's disgusting too. What is it that you love to eat that your family hates?

bolgna sandwiches with mustard, onions and pepper, washed down with chocolate milk. My best friend and I lived on these one summer. She thought that it was gross until she tried one, then she was hooked.

I love the boxed mac & cheese. I also like it with hot dogs cut up in it. I make it when Jack isn't around, lol.
I think you summed it up when you said comfort food Rhonda. Doesn't have to be super good for you...just make you feel good.

I love tomato soup crammed to the rim of the bowl with ritz crackers. I don't know if any single person adds as many crackers as I do to my tomato soup, but it's delish!

OK, I don't like this any more but when I was a child and got sick the only thing that I wanted to eat was rice mixed with a can of tuna and some ketchup. It makes me gag now but oh how I loved it way back then!
As for now I still like my poi!
