$132 later, not one bit of guilt and ice cream to celebrate
I'm blaming it on this forum. Out the window flew my resolve to buy nothing this year, especially fat quarters.
We ended up in small town Saskatchewan this afternoon and at my all time favorite quilting store. I didn't buy any fat quarters for myself, only one for dd. BUT I did purchase 6 metres of the most beautiful material I've ever seen (it kept calling my name) and I joined a block of the month club (for 16 months).
I was a happy camper.
We then ended up at the Dairy Queen and ate ice cream to our hearts content.
Not too frugal but the money was a gift and for once I refused to use all of the money for debt. It felt so good.

Good for you CJ! You deserved every penny spent.

I noticed CJ that both you and I still said "not frugal" or "still a deal" lol
Your evening sounds awesome. I bet that fabric is beautiful. Enjoy your block of the months too!
Fun stuff and ice cream too. Woohoo. A happy time.

money isn't just for buying good deals, it's sometimes for dealing out a bit of delirious happiness. Sounds like you and your daughter had a great time. WELL DONE

Oh and I was gonna add that no spend thing is a heckuva hard resolution (if not impossible...or it was for me anyways) to keep. Don't feel bad, you're in good company Cj.
