    Default while eating pistachios....

I wondered why they were dyed red. (the nuts I'm eating now are natural)

so now I know. I read they also were dyed to compete with good n plenty candy in the vending machines.

Ya know... I remember hearing about why they dyed them as a child... probably why I was afraid to eat them.

A bright red nut just LOOKS unnatural!

but I love them just the same... w/out their red coats!

(that and probly something to do with that Red color dye no.2 - was it??)

    *eek*
