Default Wild weekend at the hospital-- was it a full moon?

Hi everyone-- been a wild weekend at work. I'm nursing a hurt right hand tonight and trying to decide if it's broken or not. We had a patient go beserk and attacked the staff--- never underestimate what an 88 year old, 100 lb, gray haired lady can do!

Sign class should be interesting tomorrow-- guess I'll be "talking" with a lisp!

So-- for those who sent me PM's, I appologize for the short answers. It's difficult for me to type with one hand. . . .

I know exactly what those little old ladies can do.... people think they're so cute when they come to the nursing home, but watch out!

Seriously, I hope your hand heals quickly and it's not broken.

It's still sore and swollen this morning- but not throbbing, so I'm guessing it's not broken.

We'll see how class goes tonight

Denise sorry to hear about your hand. I don't know when the full moon is but DH was commenting that it must be soon cause he's had some really weird happenings on his bus the last couple of nights!

Sorry to hear about your hand Denise. I can sure relate to the wild weekend at the hospital. We had 2 codes/deaths by 7:20am Saturday morning, we came on at 6:45 and hit the floor running. The rest of the weekend followed that same pattern, it was a busy sad depressing weekend. I am so glad it is over now.

Wow Denise, I hope it's not broken. Sorry that happened to you. It's amazing the strength little seniors have, isn't it?

The funny part was, I had just discussed with my mom that morning the fact that nursing is one of the few professions where we get attacked both physically and verbally- and yet are expected to just take it.

We get attacked (physically and verbally) from doctors, visitors, patients, and occasionally co-workers. Coworkers are the only one who receive any repercussions.
