Newbie from SoCal...........
Hi all! I have been lurking for a while, reading posts and getting a feel for this forum and I love it so far! I am not new to frugality, but it sure is nice to know I have so many compatriots. I especially like the Debt Reduction and Frugal Living Tips sections, and of course the kitchen/cooking threads, too.
I am single, 40-something, never married but with DBF 1 hour away, no kids, working professional with a small business. I live and work in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles where the trees started growing moss in mid-Oct last fall as we began what is going to be the wettest year on record.
Happy to meet you all and learn lots more about the life of thrift...................

Hi Gayle! Welcome to the Village!

Hope the end is near with all the rain. Too much is too much.
Make yourself at home & jump in & post anywhere you'd like.

Hi Gayle, welcome to the village. Man I see those reports about the rain. I thought the song said it doesn't rain there!

Karen - I am a veterinarian. I have three kitties (one is the clinic mascot), Eddie, Mummy, and Dusty. I also have a DBF who lives in the Santa Barbara area and who loves to hunt and fish, but is not quite the penny-pincher that I am..........LOL.
