    Default Bah! Vanless

Well, had to take the van in for repairs. The temp gauge was bouncing all around and hit the H while I was in the car line to pick up my oldest DD the other day. It didn't overheat, but I didn't want to take a chance.

So we dropped it off last night which left us one car. DH leaves for work at 6 AM. My oldest DD has to be at school by 7:30. I made DH go in later and drop her off first so the rest of us didn't have to get up at 5 to get ready to take him to work - ugh.

Not that I really NEED to go anywhere, but when i don't have a way I can think of a thousand things to do.

BTDT! When we have a lot of snow DH takes my car (suv) to work because it has 4-wheel drive. That leaves DD and I stranded at home for the day. Isn't it funny how you suddenly feel trapped, even if you might have normally not gone anywhere anyways?

Hope they get your van fixed quickly... and cheap!

We've gone through this too many times than I care to remember, Luckily we can walk anywhere we need to go as long as it's in our tiny town.

I live in a very small town too, but I hate being without a car for anytime at all......I always have a "mock emergency" where I need to run do something.....Hope you get your ride back soon Cheryl.

Well horse hockey - DH just called - $400 for the cooling fan. It's never cheap is it? Funny thing is we bought this van used from our preacher - you think he would have prayed over it first huh? LOL! I can't complain though - $400 is still cheaper than a car payment even if the thing has 169,000 miles on it.
