Thumbs up Update on Chris's doctor's visit today!

Good news! His foot is healing nicely and he got his stictches out. He is now off the crutches and is getting used to walking in the "boot" for the next 3 weeks. And...in a few days he can take a real shower!!!! It's been tough getting him in and out of our deep byt skinny bathtub. That is a job for his Dad and brothers to do because no teen boy wants his mom to see him that way! We did find out that he had some bone fragments floating around in his big toe area where he broke that before though and that his feet are a bit "strange" like his father's!

The physician's assistant who examined him today is also a friend of ours and her son will be playing baseball with the twins. Chris and I are both relieved to know that she will be on hand at the games in case anyone gets hurt. Oh yeah and a highlight for me today was that they let me keep the cool scissors that they cut his stitches out with! They are angled just right for getting under things and I can think of lots of times they will come in handy! When I commented on how cool they were, she gave them to me because she said they would just throw the away anyway and we had in effect paid for them. I tought Chris was going to die of embarrasment on the spot until she handed us the tweezers too and he piped up with "Hey those are just the right size for dad to use getting those screws into place for his stereo! Yep, he's like his Momma in some ways too!

it's good to know he's on the mend. I clearly remember those teenage breakage years. We went through a few broken bones, all with shane the dare devil, never kerry.

I love how you got those scissors and tweezers. I know the scissors you're talking about, they are great.

LOL, I remember that the first thing Shane did after getting his cast and stitches removed and got the O.K. from the doctor, was dive into the pool as soon as we got home clothes and all cause he said he couldn't wait to change into his swim trunks.

I will never forget the look of joy on his face when he finally came up for air! LOL, I was almost tempted to join him.

So glad he is getting better!

We have a pair of those scissors too. They are neat and come in very handy. Dh's step-Mom is a Physician's Assistant and brought some home for us.
