    Talking My guiltfree weekend!!

    DH and I finally went away for the weekend. We haven't went away, just the 2 of us, in ages!! It was wonderful. I didn't have to listen to the boys fighting in the back seat on the way there or whining because this isn't what they wanted to do.

    We went to Bossier, Louisiana. It wasn't frugal in the least because we went on the gambling boats.

    We didn't lose anything!! What a shocker. We actually won between $500-$600, but we ended up only keeping $200 of it. So that paid for our room, gas and eats. So no money lost or spent!!!

    I just loved being able to spend time alone with DH!

    WHAAAA I envy you and your DH (I know I should not envy) BUT I have not been away with my DH (over night) since 1999 .. I so need a break.. I hope you had the time of your life there (at least for the next few months). you deserved it.

    2012 Goals
    Use the vegetables from my garden and learn to preserve.
    Cut down on all unnecessary things.
    Free is best.
    Get the garage completely cleaned out. Half done-Until BIL and SIL stored their stuff--now back to square 1.
    Make the yards nice-weed, mow, plant, flowerbeds,etc.
    Stay home more/eat out less if at all.
    FIND A NEW JOB!!!

    Sounds like FUN!! I've always wanted to go to one of those casino places. There's several in Biloxi (SP) Miss.

    We took a weekend off when DH was out of work. We had most of it already paid for and bought ONE meal out. We made the rest in our room. We bought some nice foods that werent' as cheap as the meals we made at home, but were waaay chepaer then going out. It was very nice and very, very relaxing.

    I have been married a long time (almost 24 years, with DH 28) and still need to get away now and then!
