    Unhappy Drier broke today

Well, the thing is old. Hubby is trying to fix it, but the service/parts store is closed till Monday, so I guess that's the way it goes! I have been hanging up as much clothes to dry as I can, but usually will put sheets in the drier. So, now they're hanging in the basement. This is probably a good thing, right?

Oh I hope you can get it fixed on Monday and it doesn't cost too much. In the meantime, you are saving money by hanging them in the basement so yeah, it could be a good thing.

Yes Sandy hanging your laundry up is a good thing in the eyes of frugality. But I have to tell you that I wouldn't be so happy about hanging up my sheets either and would probably be running them down to the laundromat to dry them.

I hope they can repair it for you on Monday and it is a simple fix.

I hope you are able to get it fixed! ARe you a member of freecycle for your area? I hear they sometimes have dryers and such. Good luck!

Sorry to hear about your dryer and I hope you can get it fixed soon. I use mine to dry everything here since I have a problem with squirrels climbing the clothesline poles and chewing the clothespins and the clothes! Drives me nuts! No pun intended...Hehe

If you DO have to replace it, I think Home Depot has one year, same as cash. they had it when I had to buy my new dryer last month. I got a Maytag and looove it. It is sooo quiet!

I hope you can just fix it and that the part is cheap.

Funny thing. Why does my husband hoard all of his clothes and dump them down the clothes chute all at once? Why does he choose now to dump them down, now that the drier is taken apart and there is already no place to even stand in the room? Gee whiz.

HUGS and hope you can get it fixed cheaply. If my dryer broke I'd be in a world of hurt. I don't have a basement, and it is against the covenents in our neighborhood to have a clothesline! We'd have clothes hanging all over the house - looking like something off of Hee Haw!
