Question Anybody else stuck in a construction zone?

We live in a new development of houses, and of course we knew there would be construction here for the next few years as ours was one of the first houses built.

What we didn't expect was that the constructions guys would have no respect whatsoever for the people who do live here already.  Today I was fuming... I waited patiently for five minutes or so for a cement truck to move out of my way so I could get to my home.  The truck wasn't being used, but it was parked sideways, completely blocking the street.  (The cement had already been poured.)  Finally, I tapped on my horn as all the guys were completely ignoring me.  The truck driver looks over at me, shrugs his shoulders, and resumes leaning on the truck.  I move closer, and gesture (nicely!) that he needs to move the truck up so I can pass.  He again shrugs his shoulders and then lights a cigarette.       Finally, after a few more minutes, the other guys come over and the jerk driver finally moves the truck.  There's really not much I can do, but I am going to contact the cement company to complain.

Anyone else living in this frustrating world?

my hubby works in the new construction homes here, putting in floors. Man alive are those areas difficult to navigate.

WE always seem to have some sort of construction zone going on around us, or near enough that it affects us. I feel yer pain!

Welcome to my world!! Fortunately, winter is curtailing the construction somewhat although come spring... there is a whole new road going in which joins us to two other new subdivisions.

We are going to ask our local city councillor to have our road declared a no construction traffic road as the other subdivisions have access from two other main roads.

I would love to be able to move. When I was a kid I used to pick wild blueberries right where my house is now The subdivision that is going in was once a swamp.

That was extremely rude of him to act like you were invisible, I would complain too.
