Sears shopping and MIL rant
We spent the better part of the afternoon with the MIL, (i still have a nervous tick thank you very much for asking how it went, lol) so to escape her I tried to shop while she walked along behind with my DH. Here's what I found while trying to tune her out. I have added her comments to you can enjoy the experience as I did

2 for 12.00 one piece outfits for baby "Little Wonders" (Mil- "You don't like [i] those [i] do you, they had much nicer clothes when i was with having (yes that's how she talks) Erick. American clothes are just so bad made, I don't know why you make the babies wear zat"
2 for 10.00 shirts for dd (birthday is on Monday) (Mil- "you just like to waste my son's money of sings you don't need")
2 for 14.00 pants for dd (birthday gift too) (Mil- "ooh look beach towels" )
this of course was after taking her to lunch, she complained that the cost was too high, that we were too poor to buy it announced to the whole resturaunt we were only there because we had a gift certificate, because we dont' make enough to be there, yak, yak, yak.
and later she scoffed at ds and dd who wanted to show her their owies...she attempted to show her owie...a mastectomy scar. I took them elsewhere.
I swear it's a good thing we'd gone to church this morning and Pastors words were fresh in my head...~~ Missy ~~

Oh My! Can you trade her in on a newer model? Just asking

EEEK!
Don't you just want to die of embarrassment when a relative does something like that? I feel for you, girl!

Awww I totally feel for you...sorry you have to deal with that

My MIL apparently told my son on the phone this weekend--my SIX year old son!--that I need to find a new husband. I just don't get it. I have always been nice to her, always respectful even though she is so nasty. It's not just me either, she is that nasty and very two-faced to EVERYONE. I haven't said anything to her (YET lol) because I was taught to be respectful but what I really want to do is throw her through the wall

Oh Boy! Missy, you are much more patient than I. I would have been making those glaring faces at DH!
I'm sorry you had to go through that!

Are you kidding me.... I would never go to tte store or lunch with her again. I would say to my husband if You want to go with your mother and take the kids feel free to do so BUT I will not be going.
And yes I have done that it isn't has hard as it sounds :~)
I have known my husband for 14 years and not 1 year has my MIL got my birthday right.... Usually it was late this year she called me yesterday and said I hope you are having a great day becuase it is your birthday I said well it's not my birthday but thank you I will have fun on my birthday.....
