Have you filed your taxes
Usually we have ours filed by the middle of Feburary however a certain little girl delayed those plans and then once we got home I didn't think much about them
Then last night we decided to get on the ball and do them. Only we couldn't find our W-2's......needless to say every stack of paper got destroyed while we searched. Finally we found them, completed them and filed them.
Of course now we have to wait to see if they've been approved to be e-filed which the site said could take 3-5 day's
I'm kind of worried that they won't be accepted since Joe decided to file our moving expenses from last year.....oh well. If not at least they are printed out and ready to be mailed.
Any other late filers (or later than other years)?

Late here.
Dh does the taxes and every year I ask for them to be done ASAP. Needless to say, if we get them in before April 13th, we'll be earlier than last year.

My mom is a tax consultant and does ours. We're waiting on a statement from an investment company before she can finish them. This is later than usual for us.

We owed state last year. Needless to say it was around the time we moved and we were living in a hotel so they got paid on April 15th.Originally posted by slowtypinwoman

Our aren't done. My dh does them at my parents' so my dad can help and we went to do them but somehow didn't have information from last year. And we've forgotten to do them ever since. Plus he didn't have our youngest daughter's social security number. I wish these were done but he's not worried.

Well, I just got an e-mail saying that our federal return was accepted and should be in our account April 8th. Now I just need to hear from the NC (Although I have a feeling we will have to mail that one in as it's never let us e-file NC returns in the past)
I'm just ready for next year seeing as we have a dependent now

We filed ours mid feb. We started a new tradition of splitting the money between our children's accounts. DH and I don't get a penny of it. We figure heck, they are the reason we get the $ back anyway.

Did mine long ago, had to use one to pay the other.
Which site did you use. H & R Block approved mine in less than a day.

We used Taxact for about the 4th year in a row (in fact I think you were the one that told us about them). We had an email again yesterday that the state one has been accepted also so know all we have to do is wait.Originally posted by voodidit

This is the first time since we've been married that we haven't owed NC. Maybe it's cause we moved. I mean our State refund isn't much but had we owed we were going to wait for the Federal return to pay them like we've done in the past.

I wanted to get ours done early, but we have been slacking and now we need to get them done. We will probably have to owe like we have for the past four years!
