I think they wanted to carry on the name Kathryn....

My great aunts (grandmothers sister) middle name is Kathryn so my grandmother named her youngest daughter Kathryn (after her sister of course) and my mom named me Kathryn (after her sister)....confused yet....lol

My middle name--Kale-- (which is the one I kept when I got married) is my moms maiden name.

My Dad wanted his kids to have the same initials as himself. His name is Michael Anthony. I was born first so they choose Michele Annette. I'm glad they didn't stop at Ann for my middle name becuase it seemed everyone I knew growing up had "Ann" for a middle name!

My parents named me Amy Beth because Amy and Beth were my Mom's favorite two characters in Little Women. She felt their personalities complimented each other. Good call in putting the Amy first, because I turned out much more like Amy than like the quiet Beth!

I was due on Christmas but mom said I was a present that got lost in the mail. I was born 2 days after Christmas.

My dying Grandmother asked that my mom call me Julia if I was a girl. She died about five weeks before I was born.

Diana Lynne, she liked the name Lynne so much her oldest daughter is named Lynne.

My first name is the same as my mom's- Neoma. . . Native American meaning sunshine.

My middle name is Denise- just because my parents liked it and it went well with Neoma (not many names do).

My parents said they tried to name all of us kids so that our names would look good in lights. :surprise:

My dad's name was Gerald, Jerry for short, so they named me Jerrie after him and middle name Jo because they thought it went well together

I have a sister in law named Jayne I will have to ask my mil about it.

Well my mother wanted to name me Rebecca beacause she always loved that name.

My Dad wanted to name me Pamela Sue. Why I will never know.

Well a few days before my mother went into labor, my father was in a horrible car accident. He was in a body cast and they didn't expect him to live. So Pamela Sue it was.

My parents always told the story of how my mother and I were wheeled up the 4th floor in the hospital so he could meet his new daughter.

By the way it took 2 more children and 11 years for my mother to finally get her Rebecca.
