We will be moving to Inverness, FL. Pretty close to Homosassa! We will be going back to PA, then DH will be coming down to get work etc.... I work in a bank, so I can pretty much work anywhere! It'll be great!!! Wish us luck. I'll be still coming on here, as we'll need to be more frugal than ever! Will really need alot of advice!!!!

That's quite a ways away from me (different coast and further north).

FL does not have a grocery tax! (There is tax on some items though like candy bars, kool-aid, etc.). There is also no state income tax.

One thing I hate though, every time you buy a vehicle - whether it's new or used, whether from a dealership or an individual - you have to pay sales tax even though sales tax has already been paid on it in the past if it's a used vehicle.

No double or triple coupon stores here, but I'm not familiar with the area you'll be in so there might be something there.

I am also from PA, from nazareth PA.(very close to allentown). We moved to jacksonville fl a year and a half ago and we love it. The cost of living is better in many ways, and the sunshine really does effect peoples happyness. No car inspection, or admissions,no state tax, no tax on most food except things like soda. I have no Aldis near me but there are lots of save-a-lots. My grocery bill is alot less since we moved here. So I am so happy for you good luck!
