Thumbs up Got a wonderful surprise Friday

While we were living in Lumberton we became very close to Joes boss...in fact we liked her so much that we asked her to be Paiges' Godmother. She was going to try and visit us this weekend but couldn't make it. She has yet to meet Paige but she sent her a 3 outfits, 1 very soft blanket, a stuffed angel that is a rattle and say's "God Bless Baby" a pink plush teddy bear that says "Baby's 1st Teddy" and a $200 gift card to JC Penny.
(We've put the gc up until we need it)

She did all that for a baby she has yet to meet. I am certain we made the right choice when we asked her, I just wish we lived closer so we could see her more (we haven't seen her since we moved here last year but we talk at least once a month and she calls Joe about once every week or two at work to see how he's doing).

Wow, sounds like a great choice to me too. She must be really fond of the 2 of you as well.

After we had been there a few months she and her boyfriend invited us to a cook out. She then told us that in 10 plus years of her working there Joe was the first manager that she ever invited over for anything. Every major sporting event or holiday when we didn't go home we were at there house, she even told people we were her adopted kids since we were so far from our families
