Default Lost my purse last night

while I was shopping. Don't ask for details. I really have NO IDEA what happened but I feel sooo mad! Either I set it down or someone took it out of the cart when I wasn't looking.

So who knows who has my checkbook (EEK!), ID and my cell phone. Idid the police report. And I had insurance on my cell so its going to cost me $30 to replace and I shut down the line so no calls on my bill. But OMG -- who knows what this is going to do to my bank acct. I'm REALLY mad there isn't any 24-hour Comerica hotline to close it immediately. Guess I'll get to do that on Mon. Close the acct and reopen another. Ohhh what a headache. And all the madness about identity theft. Boy am I scared.

Also -- if this happens to anyone else. Its VERY IMPORTANT to notify the Credit Reporting Agencies to put a Fraud Alert on your report so no one can open up credit in your name. They don't need a SS# these days....

I'm so sorry. I got my purse stolen in the movie theater years ago and completely stopped carrying one. I know that's extreme, but I felt so angry and violated that I just refused to be in the situation again.

How frustrating that you can't cancel your accounts on the weekend.

Angry and violated....exactly how I feel Sara!

There wasn't any cash in it. What kind of person does this?? Anytime I've EVER found a purse or a wallet, and I have, I've ALWAYS turned it in. I hope Karma drops a house on them!

Sorry Heather, that really stinks. Hope it's "fixed" asap without extra trauma.

Oh Heather, I'm sorry. I had my purse stolen years and years ago. I know the feeling of being violated that you speak of. You can rest assured that they'll get what's coming to them even though you may not be able to witness it.

Heather, I'm so sorry this has happened to you! I have had someone once get a hold of my bank account info online! Talk about scary!! They stole $1500 from my checking account. Since I was an upstanding citizen they were able to replace the funds within 24 hours at my credit union. I feel for you!
