Serendipity
I had an odd happenstance this past week and I wanted to share......
Our youngest dd has been having car troubles for some time with her car.....we bought each one of our dk's a car when they were in h.s. . Each car was anywhere from 2 to 4 yrs. old with low mileage and had been very well taken care of. We bought them what we could afford at the time. Anyway, dd #2's car has been wrecked and we chose to fix the car b/c there was no way to replace it for what the insurance co. was paying us. Big, HUGE mistake. Anyway, we've been throwing good money after bad in that car for about a year and 1/2 and finally we said ENOUGH! Ssooooo, the other day I was driving down the street and I saw a friend of mine driving her 5 yr. old car (a Grand Prix). I thought to myself (hence the title of the thread) I should call her and tell her if and when she's ready to trade that car off, we might be interested in it. I know her very well and know that the car has been painstakingly cared for. Well I didn't do anything about it, fast forward about 5 days. Gripey calls me from the office and says the husband says, "you guys are looking for a car for dd#2 aren't you? Well would you be interested in our car?"
So guess what? We've bought this car for about $1000 less than we could have bought it off a lot for. We're thrilled, dd#2 is thrilled, our friends are thrilled. Sometimes it's just so strange how things like this happen, isn't it? Ever have one of these happenstances?
The car is a 2000 Grand Prix, 88,000 miles, garage kept, non smoker, not totally loaded but close, brand new tires. I think we did good. Woo-Hoo! Now to sell that other car.......

Wonderful Lisa! And so great how it worked out -- my mother would say you sent the family a "brain wave" about selling the car. However it happened, its a win-win deal -- YEA!
