Hello friends!
Hello! I am new to this site and am so excited to be here.
I am a Christian SAHM to four children. All my children attend a Christian school.
My husband left us about a year ago. He emailed me one day to say he was moving out that night....(not too thoughtful I would say). He has started divorce procedures....my heart is very broken---it has been a very hard year for me and my children. He was a wonderful Christian husband for 19 years. I have prayed for restoration but things do not look too good right now. I am relying on the Lord --He is my everything.
I need to get more frugal and learn to be more thrifty. I already was before--so I could be home with my children, but I must really get serious about it now. I have not "worked"in 15 years and I long to stay at home for as long as possible. I think being thrifty and frugal is wise for me and God honoring as well.
I love to read my Bible, listen to sermons on line to study God's Word, labor and toil with joy in my yard and go for walks or bike rides. I also like to read ( I love Amish books)and do cross stitch projects. I also adore my huge front porch and the porch swing...it is so heavenly!!!......I spend countless hours out there!!I live in Ohio.....so no-- I do not sit on my porch in the winter!
Blessings-
Blessings!

Hi Frontporch Mom ansd welcome to the village. I have a situation very similar to yours, after 20 years, I am a single mom again. I am on the upswing of things, but have bad days too.
Remember you are a strong woman and we can make it if we put our minds to it. The village friends I have made here along with the wealth of information available here helped me through some very rough, lean times. We are here to support you. You can pm me if you ever feel a need to connect
