DH and Yard Saling
Mind you, my husband has never been one for yard saling or dumpster diving. But I took out the trash today and someone left a perfectly good entertainment center and changing table next to the dumpsters. I looked at the entertainment center and thought that it was a really good match for our bedroom set - we need a second dresser and have been using plastic milk crates. I was thinking we could swap out this entertainment center for the milk crates. So I go back to the apartment, grab DH, tell him and we drive out the the dumpster where he promptly informs me that we can't take it back because the color doesn't match. Then he comes out with "we should start yard saling for this stuff."
Whoa! My husband at a yard sale! I can't believe it! I already told him that I was going to be yard saling this year because I am tired of the particle board table with two broken legs and the plastic lawn chairs that make up our dining room set, but I never thought he'd come with me! I'm so excited!Loving wife to DH (8/31/03) and Mommy to Owen Alexander (9/20/06)

They are constantly leaving items that can be repaired in the city dumpsters especially at the park where my husband's work building is. He and the other city workers grab it, repair it and keep it: bikes, lawn care machines like mowers and weed whackers, other things.
He's not much for yard sales, but goes with me sometimes. I like to find all the good buys I can for my kids and I always give them a few dollars to spend too.
