    Default Mother-Daughter Banquet

Our church is having our mother-daughter banquet tonight. Usually they ask someone from another church (pastor's wife or someone like that) to give the devotion. This year they asked me. I'm a little nervous. My mom, both my grandmas and several of my mentors will be there. This will be my first public speaking experience since Speech class in school. My big problem in speech class was talking too fast so I'm trying to tell myself "Slow down". Anyway, thanks for letting me vent

What an honor! You will do fine, just take a few deep breaths before you start and be yourself, that is why they asked you because you are so well loved there!

Take a deep breath and let it out slow before you speak. Also, listen to yourself and be proud. You will be great!

Thank-you for all your encouragement. It went very well. The banquet theme was Legacies and the decorations were beautiful.
