Very interesting afternoon.....
DS2(7yrs) loves, and I mean loves to do anything exciting, and half way dangerous (at least for his age), hence we call him a daredevil.. Today the daredevil got his first war wounds.. He came in at about four pm screaming that he had just tried some trick on his scooter and had fallen about three feet....On his head and face on the concrete with NO HELMET ON!!!!!!!!!!!
So after he calmed down, I checked him out and he had a bump on his head, but no bleeding.. Then he asked if I could check on his tongue and it was bleeding, that's when I noticed it..... A broken front bottom tooth...
So off to the dentist we ran... Didn't want to do anything about it until all bruising and such was gone, in about three weeks.. Had an xray and showed no other broken "stuff" in his mouth. While there he began to vomit, feel light headed, dizzy, and a little lethargic. While at the dentist office I called the doctor and they said to bring him in... Once at the doctors office he had an exam and we were told he had probably suffered a slight to mild concusion....
Just need to watch him for about 24 hours... Wake him and such.. So that is how I spent my Wonderful Wednesday..
Hope yours was.........calmer, yes that was the word calmer than mine.....

How scary Bonnie, hope he's doing ok and that he's as good as new soon.
Bet he wears his helmet next time!( if you let him out of the house again.
)
Yesterday wasn't calm for us either we were in traffic stopped to take a left turn into a store parking lot & the guy behing us ran right into us.(doing about 30) Everyone is OK & we were sore yesterday, what a jarring experience I thought my eyes were goping to pop out of my head. Jack & I are ok today, hope Nicole & Anthony are too. Nicole's still sleeping but I'm guessing she's ok too. Other guy was admitting guilt all over the place & did over $1100 worth of damage. Never been in an accident before & don't want to again.
Hope we both have a better day today Bonnie.

Sounds like there is definite need for some major hugs in both of your households. Hope today is a better one and that all heals fast, including the car.

Darlene, I am glad that you and your family are ok.. Cars can be replaced...
Then again, hopefully insurance will take care of all of it for you..((((hug))))
DS went to school today... So I guess that he is doing just fine. He has so learned his lesson about wearing that helmet.. I am the helmet mom on our street and I am not a nice one when I see a kid not wearing one... DS knows way better than not to wear one.. It is Oregon state law that any one under the age of 16 MUST wear one or get a $50.00 ticket... That and there have been just way too many deaths from kids and adults not wearing a helmet....
