When you set your VCR to record.......
do you set the VCR to come on a few minutes prior to the start of what you are recording and set it to end a few minutes past the time it should?
The reason I asked is because there is a lot of buzz online and the WB network has been getting hate mail because the Gilmore Girls ran over by 27 seconds Tuesday night and fans were mad that set there VCR's to go off at the exact hour and missed the last few seconds of the cliff hanger. They even want the WB to re air it even though it will most likely be shown as a rerun over the summer. I figured most people allowed for a few minutes here and there.
I know when I want to record something I set the VCR to come on at least 2 minutes prior to when the show is suppose to start and set it to go off 2-5 minutes after its suppose to end.
Please tell me I am not the only one that does this....lol (but hey, at least I get the whole show
)

I start it a few mins before and just let the tape run out...never know if the next show will be good

I usually only tape movies or shows on the weekends when we;ll be gone and a lot of the times dont look to see whats next...this way I'm surprised lol
I taped the last 2 episodes of American Dreams and haven't even watched them yet....

see I knew I wasn't the only one who did that. Maybe next time, for those who don't allow extra time, they will be better prepared for their favorite show to run over a few minutes....lol
