Default Is there anything you just can't get the frugal hang of?

I mean something that you try to be frugal at, but just can't seem to hit it? For me it is craft stuff. I know I could be more frugal about what I buy - I mean I could open my own scrapbooking store with the stuff I stockpiled because I liked it! And now, I am into crocheting - let's not talk about yarn!

    Anything you need work on?

Books, If I don't have a pile waiting to be read I have a panic attack. I have to force myself away from Amazon. I do go to used book stores but I buy new(paperbacks mostly) too. A perfect afternoon for me is at he computer browsing Amazon or a trip to a book store. Thank heaven dh is good natured about it. cau

Mine would have to be impulse shopping. I am getting better about it. I can justify a lot to myself when I really try.

Mine is the whole food thing. I could save $$$ if I just started working on the food aspect and I don't do badly but no where near where I want to be!

Eating out and buying junk food. We do use coupons for all the snack food, but still, it's money that doesn't need to be spent.

Fast food. I love to cook, but if DH hints at Taco Bell or pizza, I'm ready! It takes about $10-12 to feed all of us at any fast food place. When I sit down and think about the fact that I can make a huge pot of soup (which lasts for three meals) for about $4, or, even one big meal (my homemade chicken enchiladas, rice, corn) for about $7, I feel pretty guilty.

Well, this is a recently new development for me, but I have become addicted to the vending machine in the teachers room at school. The culprit? Chex mix. I can't get enough of those freaking little bags of regular flavor chex mix. I know that if I hadn't been going in there every day for the past few months, I would have MANY more dollars in our dollar tin and MUCH more change in the change bottle. I seem to have lost all self-control with that stupid machine. What I need to do is just not have change or dollars in my wallet. Starting next Tuesday, that's what I'm doing. I swear. Really. I do.
