Talking Update on 3rd Burglary! Solved!

Here is the original thread from 4-28-05 incase you missed it.
    http://www.frugalvillage.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=55358

I talked to the detective on Thursday and he told me I had to have proof that it was our saw like a reciept or bill of sale (which we didn't have), I was so mad I was almost yelling at him! Dh got home and called the Sherrif. The Sherrif said we could have it. The same detective called me back within 15 min. after dh talking to the Sherrif and said I could pick it up Friday so I've already done that. It's now snug as a bug in the trunk of my car waiting for dh to take it out. Dh said it's probably safter in the trunk so it's still there, lol.

The detective said they picked up a boy in our neighborhood for the theft. They live at the end of our block about even with the alley that leads to our sheds. He was booked and charged Thursday evening and released to his parents since they said he is a minor. Evidently the Sherrif MADE the detective go check out the name and addy on the pawn ticket after he talked to us.

However, dh and I think there is something fishy about that since you can't pawn or sell an item unless you are atleast 18 so probably the older brother pinned it on the younger one so he wouldn't get into as much trouble.

Do you all remember the kid that jumped Jesse when he got off the school bus on the last day of school back a couple of years ago and Jesse got in trouble for defending himself for fighting back (and whoooping him)? Well, this is the same kid and his brother who did this. They are a wild bunch. I think there are 4 boys. We're just glad they caught them and charged them.

The detective said he will continue to check into the other 2 burglaries to see if they also stole all of my beading and craft stuff and silver baby spoons and rocks and gems. I hope they can do a search of their house.

Keep on them to follow through Carolyn! Hope they lock 'em up and by some miracle they actually learn to keep their hands off other peoples things. Wouldn't hold my breath on that one. Bums.grr.
