    Default Memorial Day Remembrances

Happy Memorial Day US ladies. And thanks to all our military personnel who have served and given their lives so that we can enjoy the freedoms we have today.

I want to remember my Daddy, John Cunningham. He served proudly in the Navy in World War II aboard the destroyer the USS Stanly. He was always proud of his military service. He passed away in 1993. I miss him.

My Grandfather who fought in the Boar War.
My Dad who fought in WW1.
My Older Brother who was on a Navy Destroyer in WW2.

They are all gone now, but will be fondly remembered.

Oh, I need to add My grandfather - General Morrow (his first name was General - he was actually a private) - who served in the Army in WW I. He always said "I went into the Army a General and I came out of the Army a General!" LOL!

I remember my father Captain William Hart who as a Merchant Marine sailed through the dangerous North Atlantic to supply our friends in England through their dark days when they stood alone against Hitler. He received a Presidential commendation for heroism for rescuing men from the sea after their ship had been sunk by Nazi submarines. He died in 1972 and I miss him.
