A/C problems
Sunday Steve and I were sitting here and kept hearing something. We couldn't figure it out,so he muted the tv and I noticed something hit the floor and 'bounce' (we have wood flooring) and I looked at the ceiling and it was WET!!
Our A/C was leaking water from where the guys did a crappy job last year putting the unit in.
When I called the lady, said she'd see if she could find the service man(remember-It's Sunday) Well the guy finally calls and says it must be clogged up.Steve said no,the drip pan is crushed where the unit slipped off of a 2x4 and it's unlevel. The guy ask Steve if he knew how to read a level. Steve was like "Yea man,I built my house,I think I can tell when the level is off.."
So,3 hours later (with no a/c on..we are all hot and grumpy)the guy shows up and still says "it must be clogged". Steve said Lets just go look in the attic....so,they go up and sure enough the guy says it's leaning, not level and the pan has been crushed and water spilling over....HELLO!! We told you that 3 hours ago....
So,he and Steve rigs it up so we can use the air and says someone will be out Monday morning.
A different guy comes out, looks to see what he needs and goes back to the office to get everything. When he comes back,he steps up into the attic and misses the stud and hits the floor...which is our living room ceiling SHEETROCK/DRYWALL
Yep...his foot came right through my ceiling!!
By this time,I am not a happy camper. But...says he'd be out early this am to fix it. Ok,so he comes at 8:15...does a little work, says it has to dry and he'd come back to sand and apply another coat, then paint.....Says he'll be back at lunch time........It's now almost midnight and I guess his lunch time and my lunch is not the same time...ya think! I know he better be here tomorrow or I'm calling the office!! I have been so upset over this.
Not only do I have a wet looking spot on the ceiling, but also a hole thats half way finished.
I have a feeling it's not going to be a very good week around here

oh...I almost forgot.....while he was 'mudding' the hole up...I heard something fall.I thought he'd busted the glass on the door (it has a window) I thought "Great! Now I get a new door" lol
But...he had knocked the curtain rod off the door.
He said.." I wonder what else I'm going to break around here before I leave"
I was thinking to myself "I hope nothing..hurry up and leave already!!!" lol

Ooooooooooooooo ........ A nightmare in the making. I hope today things settle down and get back to normal at your place. I think I hate repairmen more than ..... I don't know what. You are totally justified being in a rage!
Keep after them and make them get it ALL right --- including the hole in the ceiling.

OH NO!!! I think that must be the longest lunch break in history.
Maybe he is afraid he will do more harm than good. I think they need to hire better help!!
I hope you get this resolved!~*Michelle*~

Well,he did say he hoped it looked good when he finished and went on to say he'd bought a house 3 months ago and have been remodeling it and doing drywall work....So,I thought maybe he knew what he was doing lolOriginally posted by Mom23boys

Steve could fix it. We just don't feel we should have to...

I don't think you should have too either. I think they are responsible since they did the damage.

I'm sending cool breezes your way, Tammy.
We just got our air fixed Monday and I know you guys are feeling murderous at this point. I'm sorry they've messed you all up so much!
