Been Taking Guitar Lessons
So, I decided to take guitar lessons and I'm loving it! I had taken years ago, so I knew my way around the guitar, but now I'm really playing stuff and (not to pat myself on the back) but I"m not half bad! I'm fully playing "Closer to Fine" by the Indigo Girls, sorta playing "In Your Eyes" by Jeffrey Gaines (actually by Peter Gabriel, but Jeffrey Gaines covered it with acoustic guitar and I LOVE it!), and have started "Breathe" by Anna Nalick, but I think I'd rather get the piano music for that one because it doesn't translate well to guitar.
It's so much fun! The best part...free! I'm bartering with a good friend of mine at school. He's teaching me the guitar and I'm giving him piano/voice lessons in return. Win/win situation!

Doesn't it hurt your fingers? I tried playing a few years ago, but it did a number on my fingers, and since I need a really sensitive sense of touch for my job, I had to stop.
Anyway, congrats! I love Closer to Fine.

Super cool!! Enjoy your lessons! Dh liked to pull out his guitar (well till he gave it to his little brother) and play a while when he was stressed out, it relaxed him right away.

Good for you! I used to love to play the guitar -- but have not for many many years even though I still have the thing. Its a great stress reliever, isn't it?
