    Default I have a pet peeve....

    ...About loud music in stores...it really truely gets on my nerves soooo bad, that I have walked out of places....Am I getting old and grouchy or is anyone else like this?.....I was in this store today and they had the radio blaring so loud I could not think!!!...I don't mind background music, but some places just blare the noise !!!!

    Yeah I think so too - especially store geared towards younger shoppers. I have become more soound sensitive as I have gotten older. I used to be able to sit on the sofa and read while DH had the tv on and totally tune it out. I don't know if my multi-tasking abilities are diminshing or if I now have "Mommy" ears and can't completely tune it all out.

    I agree. We went to a Circuit City recently and the music was booming! I don't even know how you could even hear the customer ask you a question.

    I visited the mall recently with my 12 year old daughter --- I hadn't been in YEARS. One of the stores she desperately wanted to go to had horrible loud music and it was all I could do to stay until she had seen everything.

    While my kids would probably say I'm getting old and grouchy, I say the music is too LOUD!
