Prepaid cell phone questions
Having resisted the cell phone madness, we are looking at getting one of the prepaid cell phones to use on a very limited basis.
Has anyone here had any experience with one? Do they have decent reception? We will need interstate reception as well as local. I tried doing an internet search, but didn't find any testimonials I thought were real so I thought here would be a good place to find out about personal experiences.
Thanks for your advice!~~Jean~~

I have a pre-paid one from AT&T. I just have to load $10.00 in it every 3 months and I get 40 minutes of talk time.

I have one from Vigin Mobile, I have to put at least $20.00 on every 90 days. The cost is $.25 per minute for the first 10 minutes of the day and $.10 per minute after that. I can send and recieve calls where ever I want.
Just drove to Central Michigan from north Florida for a funeral and had reception the whole way. Called my kids from the Rocky Mountains

I also have a Virgin mobile. I am very happy with it.
They ran a special if I added $40 by a certain date I didn't have to add minutes for the rest of the year!!Bridge
