Default How to keep a 7 & 3 yo busy for free

Have them build a rabbit trap! We are at my Mom's in KY. She lives in a suburban area, but has a bunch of rabbits and chipmunks in her yard after her garden. Katie (my 7 yo) saw a rabbit earlier and decided she wanted to catch it. So, she and DH built a "trap" from a cardboard box, a stick and a long clothesline rope. They added lettuce for bait.

Katie sets the trap up and Amanda my 3 year old pulls the rope and drops the trap. This happens over and over and over! LOL! It is so cute and so funny!

I'll let you know if they actually catch a rabbit!

That's so cute and funny. We have bunnies here and tons of chipmunks. I think my kids could sit animal patrol for quite a while trying to catch them. lol

We went to the sprayground and there was a woman with a baby mini lop bunny on a leash and she was walking it. Was the cutest little bunny. My kids fell in love and it took me days to talk them down from wanting one. ugh

Ally always says she wants to touch a bunny tail. lol She'd camp out for that opportunity. lol
