Wow, neat. I don't think I've ever seen an electric one. I'm off to Google an image

How are you doing with your coffee embargo? Have you found any teas that you particularly enjoy? I am pretty plain over here...Earl Grey, camomile, and sleepy time tea (Celestial Seasonings) are my favorites

I like the same type you do, but can't drink them daily. I'm loving the spiced chai types and Kim sent me a couple from eastern shores that are really good. Ginger Pear and Red Bush are wonderful. They are smooth and not even a touch of aftertaste.

    That was sweet of Gabe.

I drink Sleepy Time or other chamomile teas, too, but no kettle here-- I just microwave the water. Tea purists say that tea tastes different made from kettle water-- I read that somewhere.

    WTG Gabe!

ok, just so we are all on the same page, what exactly is an electric tea kettle. Is it what we call an electric jug which is a small appliance you fill with water to boil for tea?

How would you normally boil water over there if not in one of these things?

Rhonda, I don't know much about the electric tea kettle- I suspect it is like the Mrs Tea that you plug in and yes, it heat the water and keeps it warm.

"Normally" we have metal tea kettles that you put on top of your regular stove to heat the water (or the microwave and a cup of water.)

    Sounds great, Sara!

Wow, that's amazing. I would imagine that there would be an electric kettle in every home here. Most people gave up on stove kettles when I was a teenager. Having said that, we have a stove kettle that we use if there is a power outage. I love it. It feels very comforting seeing a kettle boiling on the stove.
